Teaching Philosophy: As student and teacher of yoga, I believe that by incorporating a yoga practice into a regular fitness routine yoga has the power to define an efficient and injury-free body.
09/2012 – Present: Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, Square One, Emeryville, CA
Lead three one-hour morning Vinyasa classes and one 90 minute Vinyasa class for sliding scale yoga collective. Substitute as needed.
08/2012-present: Beginner and Mixed Level Vinyasa Yoga Instructor, Type A Yoga, Pleasant Hill, CA
Lead students towards developing a mindful and healthy Vinayasa yoga practice by designing sequences that pay special attention to strengthening and alignment.

Provide yoga instruction at members-only gym. Focus on incorporating plyo and endurance training into sequences to complement athletic training.

Designed and executed a 1 hour workshop for children between the ages of 6-8 yrs old. Aimed to introduce young children to peer acceptance, breathing practice and simple postures.

Provided 30 minute, low-impact yoga teaching instruction for one-day women’s event.
04/2010: Meditation Workshop Facilitator, The Met School, Providence RI
Facilitated a two part meditation workshop for high-school students. Employed breathing practices and visualization techniques from Jack Kornfield’s work, A Path with Heart.
